Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Course Help me with CPJE, NAPLEX® or both?
The class is 52 hours of CLINICAL PHARMACY which is the essence of both exams. Please note that CPJE despite its name is essentially a detailed CLINICAL PHARMACY exam with some law questions. The Law portion of CPJE is covered in a chapter in Review Book #2 that the CPJE student reads individually. There are no lectures on Law and the 5 days of class are purely clinical Pharmacy relevant to NAPLEX and CPJE.
Can I postpone my class attendance date after registration?
Yes! If for any reason you cannot attend the course date that you have registered for, you can postpone your lecture attendance date to any of the future class dates. There are no additional fees or penalties; however, we expect you to inform us as soon as you know. This is courtesy to other students who might be on the waiting list for that date.
I will be taking the NAPLEX exam only. Do I need to be there for all 5 days?
The 52 hours of lectures are CLINICAL PHARMACY and you will need to be present for the whole 5 days.
I will be taking the CPJE exam only. Do I need to be there for all 5 days?
Other than the 4 hours of Math lecture at the begining of 5th day, the rest of lectures are clinical pharmacy relevant to both exams.
How often are classes held?
Approximately once a month.
Are the courses held in any other locations?
At this time, the courses are held about once a month in southern California and once a year (generally in late May) in Northern California. About 60-70% of students travel from other states to take the course; They do so solely based on other students’ recommendations and word of mouth.
How long after the course should I take the exam?
In general, for an average student, it takes about 200 hours of studying after the lectures to be prepared. You might need more or less time depending on your base clinical knowledge. Once you are scoring above 90% on multiple Email Quizzes consistently, you should be ready. If in doubt, we can quiz you on the phone to see where you stand.
Can I re-attend the lectures a second time right before my exam?
Yes, you can. The more you hear the material, the more it solidifies in your mind. Some students re-attend the lectures two or three times prior to taking their exam. For repeat students, the fee for re-sitting the lectures is $65 a day or $250 for all 5 days.
Can I buy the two course books without attending the lectures?
We hear many students ask us to buy the books without attending lectures. Please note that just reading the review books without hearing the material usually leads to students skipping important information. We also cover many topics and questions that are not in the review books. Almost all students who purchase the books eventually sign up for the whole course. However, If you can not attend the course under any circumstances, send us an email through the “Contact us” page of the website.
